THOMAS ORDAHL JOINS GROUP 1066
NEW YORK, November 7, 2005
Thomas Ordahl, a recognized marketing and branding leader, has joined Group 1066, the New York-based marketing strategy firm, as a Partner.
"We are thrilled to have Thomas joining us," said Mike Cucka, one of the firm's founders, "With his experience in the industry and his ability to bring clients deep, actionable insights, we know that he will make a great addition to our team."
"Group 1066 works at the intersection of marketing and sales-this is not only a fascinating area, but is also an enormous opportunity. Companies are frustrated by strategies that cannot be implemented, and by communications that don't reflect strategy," said Ordahl.
"Thomas has a talent for taking a complex idea and making it simple," Cucka added. "In the work that he has done with clients such as Lockheed Martin, The Free Library of Philadelphia and Dow Chemical he has focused on helping them clarify and express what they do in ways that simplify decision-making and build loyalty."
Prior to his role at Group 1066, Ordahl was the Interactive Practice Director at Siegel & Gale, where he worked with clients to build their businesses, extend their brands, and better meet the needs of their customers.
Ordahl is a founding member of the Internet Managers Consortium, a group of 25 Fortune 500 corporate Internet managers dedicated to benchmarking and sharing best practices. He received an M.A. in the liberal arts (Great Books program) from St. John's College in Annapolis, MD, and a B.A. in history with distinction from the University of Maine.
